DBRP 2000 Thread

"Huuh?" Grimm uttered. "I fight because I have no choice. You gotta throw some punches if you want to live in these mean streets...Getting stronger is a side effect. I can't care much about getting stronger or being a better fighter, I only care if I can fill my stomach and go to sleep soundly." Grimm replied.

"....Although, I did dream of being a champion when I was a little brat. Seems the little kid in me is still alive. Anyways, are we going to keep talking or actually do something?" Grimm asked.

"Hmm, yes the streets are dangerous," Sigurd replied. "We will train soon enough. The state of mind however is the most important thing as a fighter. Do you pick these fights? I'm curious about your life and what you plan to do in the future."

"More questions? Come on, now, I didn't sign up to talk. You should have brought us some coffee if we were going to do this." Grimm replied. He then sighed. "Fine, I'll answer. Most of these fights are people trying to be overly macho by beating me. I'm a bit famous among these crooks. I'm known as that guy who hasn't got an ounce of saiyan blood in him but still is the boss of the streets.

"Also what future? I'm trying to live, not die of hunger, thirst, disease or shit like that. Having dreams or goals are overrated and most of the time, you won't reach them."

"That's quite a sad way to look at life," Sigurd replied. "I suppose our society today teaches that the strong survive. But all we do is fight, life is much more than just that. I enjoy a good fight just as much as the next martial artist, but I never want to outside of competition. We don't learn martial arts to fight at all, we learn so we don't have to. We defend ourselves as well as ourselves. We don't instigate and we don't seek out trouble.

Young man, I ask that you set a goal in mind. Something that you wish to achieve in this life. I'd also like to offer up my home to you. We have more than enough room. We'll do an exercise here soon and if you win, I'll give you a prize!"

"...So are you just going to keep talking?" Grimm asked. "If not, I'll go my merry way then. I didn't come here for a lecture, I dropped out of school because of that shit."

"It's not a lecture," Sigurd replied. "It's important life lessons and with the power and skills you posses make you responsible for knowing them. But, I guess we can get started. For this exercise I want to gauge where you're at." Sigurd took out a blue handkerchief and placed it in his belt with it sticking out. "Just come at me with all you've got and try to take the handkerchief. If you do, I'll buy you lunch. Heh, good luck." Sigurd placed his body into a stance and waited.

"Okay, finally." Grimm assumed a boxer stance, it was kind of sloppy since he never had any formal experience in it. He then vanished as he leapt towards Sigurd, with a hand aiming for the handkerchief, he would attempt to grab it away and back off.

Sigurd would pull his body to the side and place his palm on Grimm's back trying to bash him in the face with his knee as he passed and landed behind him.

Grimm was hit by Sigurd's knee, and blood trickled down his nose, which almost broke. "What the hell?! Okay, that was a cheap shot, I won't fall for it again!" Grimm then leapt back at Sigurd, this time, he tried to trip him by kicking him in the feet, and as Sigurd would be falling, Grimm would use the occasion to take his handkerchief.

"Hmm, cheap shot is it?" Sigurd asked. Sigurd would indeed trip, but he'd slap Grimm's hand away. He then wrap his feet around Grimm's and try to make him fall down. If he did, he'd slam his arm to Grimm's face then rise back to his feet.

Grimm fell down, however, he managed to roll to the side before Sigurd hit him. Still, it seemed like Sigurd was barely taking this seriously. "Y-You...are you taking this seriously?!" Grimm replied, huffing and panting.

This man was easily the strongest foe Grimm has faced in his dozens of years of fighting, none were as strong, as fast or as skillful as Sigurd is.

Sigurd only chuckled at Grimm's question.

"Okay, Grimm. I'll give you one more minute. Unless you want to stop now."

Grimm spit on the ground, blood was now on it. "Yeah, I spit on your ground, sue me." He glared at Sigurd. "Damn it...This guy really isn't taking me seriously. I'll need to use my brain for this."

"Alright, one minute? I'll take that handkerchief from you." Grimm then dashed towards Grimm, but, within mere inches from his body, Grimm began running in circle around Sigurd. He kept running for around half a minute, and as he was behind Sigurd, he lunged forward, towards his belt, trying to take it away from him. If he took away Sigurd's belt, he would only need to remove the handkerchief from it.

Sigurd didn't mind him spitting on the ground, blood got on it often enough. Hopefully this isn't too overboard.

"Tyrfing Tornado!!" Sigurd yelled as Grimm neared him. Sigurd spun his body rapidly with his foot that would bash Grimm in the face if he didn't move.

"Urk!" Grimm was kicked by Sigurd in the face and he was sent away, crashing into a wall. "B-But how...?!" Grimm said, lifting his arm before he lost consciousness. That kick was too strong and almost killed him. But, as he was pretty tough, it only rendered him unconscious.
