DBRP 2000 Thread

"He was incredibly brave," Lea said. "We wouldn't have won without him."

"I-It's really over?" Seliph asked. Sure enough even the sky had regained its health.

"Silva . . . thank you for your sacrifice," Lewyn said. Seems wrong that I'm the only one of that generation to live, but I'll guide this younger one to--no, they are already progressing well.

"....Well, Silva deserves a much better place to rest. How about we bury him at Mont Paozu?...So he can finally join the old man and the others." Grimm said, "Come now, let's go." He touched Sophie on her shoulder and she lashed back at him. "Don't touch me! Leave me alone!" She cried at him, tears in her eyes.

"Jeez...fine." He tried to act tough, but he knew that out of all, Sophie was the one to mourn the most. Grimm simply stared at her, before grabbing Silva's body. "Well, I'm off to bury him. Who wants to come with me?" He asked the others.

"I'll come. And I'll bury him." Sophie stood up.

They buried Silva and cried, laughed, and celebrated that the long battle had finally ended. Many souls were finally avenged.

2 years later . . .

The cities were rebuilt and the martial arts schools were reinstated. Seliph, Leif, and Ares all became the masters of their schools respectively. Central City was back on top, though it was unfortunate that society had not wholly changed from the way it previously was. But it was better than the reign of terror under Julius and Arvis. Arvis . . . no one knew his real thoughts at the end, but only Lea guessed them. Though she never told a soul.

In an alley, a woman of her late 20s was being beaten by a couple of thugs. These were the streets where Grimm had lived.

"Hm?" Grimm said as he saw a woman being harassed while taking a stroll back home. "Oi," He went to the thugs. "Stop it and get her some help. Although, you won't do that since you're the ones that did this to her, would you?" He asked, cracking his knuckles and trying to scare them off.

"Heh, don't act so tough," One of them said. These dweebs had no idea who they were dealing with. The first one through a punch forward at Grimm's face.

Grimm took the punch head on but pretty much nothing happened to him. "Not too shabby, but I can tell you never threw a punch against someone your own size, let alone a guy who dwarfs you." Grimm said, he grabbed the thug's hand and threw him into an abandoned building, making him burst through the wall.

"Call an ambulance, now," Grimm said, turning to the others. "Or do you want to call more than one?" Grimm said, grinning at the thugs.

"Uh, waht the heck are you man?!" the other thug took off running, holding his pants as he did. He left his poor friend.

"Ugghh," the woman in the scarlet dress said, holding her face. She was sitting down, leaning against the wall.

"Jesus, her face got ugly if she doing that," Grimm said, he looked at the thug running away. "Tsk. Doesn't even care for his friend." Grimm said, he pulled his phone and would call for an ambulance.

To pass time, he would approach the woman. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked. "No, she isn't, you big oaf. She was getting beat up only a few seconds ago." Grimm thought to himself.

"An ambulance is heading to us, they're going to take you to the hospital....What were you doing here? These streets ain't safe, especially for a lady." Grimm spoke. "I knew these streets for too long and I've never seen you. I can tell this is your first time here."

She took her hand off her face, there was a little bit of blood but nothing too bad. Grimm would find her to be wildly beautiful.

"Y-Yes, I'm okay," she replied. "I'm not hurt too badly, I won't need the ambulance. One of those guys was supposed to be taking me on a date, but instead he took me here and he and his friend jumped me." She began crying just talking about it. "My name is Christel, if you wouldn't mind, could you escort me back to my apartment? I feel like I can't trust anyone else right now."

Grimm froze for an instant as he kept staring at this woman's face. She was easily the most beautiful person he had ever seen.

"Oh, uh, nice to meet you," Grimm said as he snapped back to reality. "Name's Grimm. Alright, I shall escort you, but first, we need to wait for the ambulance."

A few minutes later, the ambulance arrived. Grimm would tell them to take the thug to the hospital, but, Christel did not need to be hospitalized.

"Well, time to get back to your apartment. So, where is it? Do you live around these streets?" He asked her.

"Yes, I live nearby here," Christel said. She then walked to her apartment building with Grimm. They then made it to her room and after unlocking the door she turned to Grimm. "I-I'm a little scared to go in there alone. Will you come?"

Grimm pulled out a handkerchief and wiped sweat off his face at Christel asking him to come with her. "Well, uh, I can stay with you for a little while but I have business back at home." He replied, scratching the back of his head.

"Thank you," Christel said. They both went in and she turned on the lights, looking around frantically. Suddenly a glass fell, but the noise made Christel screamed. She jumped forward and wrapped her arms around Grimm.

"Don't worry, it was only a piece of glass falling," Grimm said, turning and seeing glass shatters on the ground. "I'll help you clean this off." He said, but, he found himself in an awkward position with this stranger suddenly getting close to him and wrapping her hands around him.

"You're really brave . . . and strong," Christel said, scooting herself closer to Grimm's body. She then leaned in for a kiss.
